This study aimed to examine the effect of a Nonviolent Communication Training Program, based on the Constructivist Learning Model (5E Model), on the problem-solving and empathy skills of nursing students. This study is a randomized controlled experimental design with a pre-test/ post-test control pattern. It was conducted with a total of 68 students selected by randomization from among first- year nursing students at a state university who voluntarily participated in the study during the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Data were collected using Information Form-1, Information Form-2, the Nonviolent Communication Knowledge Test (NCCT), the Social Problem Solving Inventory Form (SPSI) and the Empathic Skills Scale-B Form (ESS-B). Data analysis included descriptive statistics (number, percentage, mean and Standard deviation); normality was assessed using skewness and kurtosis coefficients. Dependent samples t-tests were used for within- group comparisons and Chi-square tests were used for between- group comparisons.
