Inclusion Criteria: * Patients with upper eyelid dermatochalasis who were scheduled for upper eyelid blepharoplasty Exclusion Criteria: * previous surgery on the upper eyelid, previous eye lid trauma, congenital lid changes, blepharochalasis syndrome, coagulation disorders or indication for combined ptosis and blepharoplasty surgery
