Inclusion criteria

✓. Undergo open appendicectomy via Lanz incision

Exclusion criteria

✕. Surgical technique: Laparoscopic appendicectomy or mid-line laparotomy
✕. Patients on steroid treatment and immunosuppressant therapy.
