Inclusion criteria

✓. Clinical, ultrasonographic and serologic diagnosis (ELISA) of amebic liver abscess.
✓. Both genders
✓. Older 15 years

Exclusion criteria

✕. Clinically suspected piogenous liver abscess
✕. Positive hemoculture
✕. Negative ELISA for amoebic antigens
✕. Immunosupresion (HIV)
✕. Abdominal or biliary surgery antecedents
✕. Abdominal neoplasia antecedents
